What to expect

Victorian Socialists supporters and volunteers are invited to catch up with leftists from across the northern suburbs for a BBQ in the Trades Hall courtyard on Saturday September 3. 

This election we have a real opportunity to shake up the pro-business status quo – the politics that sees our planet burning, the cost of living spiralling, and racism and bigotry used to divide us. With a lot of hard work and a little bit of luck, we have a real shot at electing a socialist to the upper house in Victoria – someone who will call out every injustice, stand up to the rich and powerful, and be a megaphone for left-wing social movements. 

But we can’t do it without a mass grassroots campaign – so we need your help. Join us for a volunteer training session, with workshops to give you all the skills you need to knock on doors and talk to voters. Whether you’re totally new to door-knocking, did a little bit of door-knocking in a previous campaign or are highly experienced, we encourage you to come along, share your experiences and learn with us. 

And at 1pm we’ll have our first mass doorknock, putting our training into action with residents in the Melbourne and Richmond electorates: link
