Mary Kostakidis is a journalist and presented SBS World News for two decades. She has long been an advocate for press freedom and the public’s right to know. Her interest is in geopolitics, national security and foreign policy. In the midst of a live-streamed genocide in Gaza, she became the target of ‘hate’ speech law fare by the CEO of the Zionist Federation of Australia for coverage of Israel’s war crimes on X, the most important front in the war according to the ADL, and one where Israel is losing.
