I’m angry at the way our community is ignored by politicians who serve big business.

I’m an application developer working in the IT industry and a delegate in my union. I’ve lived in Melbourne’s north for a number of years, currently in Jacana, after moving to Australia from Türkiye.

I’m running as a Victorian Socialists candidate in this October’s Hume City Council election because I’m angry at the way our community is ignored by politicians who serve big business.

Whether it’s housing, the environment, transport, arts and culture, or quality public services and amenities—all of these lack the investment needed to provide the foundation for a decent life.

I’m also a long-term supporter of Palestine. I was part of the recent pickets against HTA Global in Campbellfield (a company that treats parts for fighter jets dropping bombs in Gaza). I also spoke at the rallies outside Hume Council pushing them to pass a motion to divest from aiding Israel’s genocide and to support Palestinain refugees.

If I’m elected to Hume council this October, I’ll fight for you.
