I’ve lived in the Greater Dandenong region nearly all my life and seen the changes needed here.

My name is Tevyn Gov. Victorian Socialists believe that we can work in councils to represent the voices of migrants, workers, renters, the elderly and young people. This includes fighting against racism, sexism, and striving for more workers’ rights and financial support for people facing hardship.

I’m a second-generation Chinese Cambodian. I’ve lived in the Greater Dandenong region nearly all my life and seen the changes needed here. I’m a socialist, a union member and an activist.

I’ve been involved in anti-Nazi rallies, fighting for migrants, refugee rights and election campaigns for Victorian Socialists, as well as supporting strikes for better wages. Recently I’ve campaigned in solidarity with the people of Palestine and against Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza. I believe councils should be a place where questions of social justice are raised and acted on.
