North Eastern Metro

Hi, I’m Lucas, Victorian Socialists candidate for the north east metro region.

I’ve lived and worked in the north east of Melbourne all my life. I grew up in West Heidelberg with my sister and single parent mother. I know how hard it is to try to get an education while holding down work to make ends meet. It’s never been harder to put a roof over our heads and food on the table, to keep warm and healthy.

I’ve worked as a labourer and a warehouse worker and I’ve seen first-hand that it’s often the people working the hardest in our city that are earning the least. I know what it’s like for many of our lowest paid workers who are doing it tough and long overdue for a pay rise.

By 2030, Melbourne will be our biggest Australian city. We need a plan for liveable, sustainable suburbs not quick profits. Despite the growing density of our suburbs in the north east, there are not enough schools and child care centres to meet demand. Where is the focus on community needs?

I’m passionate about building a sustainable future for all, not being a career politician driven by self-interest.

Vote 1 Victorian Socialists and let’s get some real change happening!
